somethings i am clear on but other things are not so clearly stated

I went on a special trip to a special store to get a replacement pillow BUT the store was ALL OUT OF PILLOWS!
how does a store run out of pillows?!!??!
Now I have some new purple pants.
and three brand new pairs of scissors!
